You're Probably Giving Away Work You're Already Doing
Without clearly defining the scope of your services, how can you charge correctly for them?
Here are some classic examples of what can result in what Barrie calls "profit leaks."
Why Learn This From Barrie
40 Years of Building — and Pricing — Luxury Design Businesses
Barrie Livingstone has spent the last four decades running a full turnkey design operation: sourcing, procurement, freight, receiving, installation, and the ultra-high-net-worth clients who expect all of it done right the first time.
He's appeared on both HGTV and BRAVO, has spent 40 years in international design, and is a published author — building House of Barrie into a luxury retail and design brand spanning the U.S. and Mexico.
In this free session, he's opening up the exact systems — the Letter of Agreement and defining the scope of services for each project — that most designers spend years learning the expensive way. When your scope of services is strong, there are fewer surprises for your clients. An educated client comes from having a strong scope of services — that's what eliminates the surprises
